The bar grill has a traditional, yet comfortable atmosphere where Irish hospitality is paramount.
Walnut panelling compliments sage stonework, whilst muted green and tawny brown seating and sunny orange carpets radiate warmth. The Bar is locally known as ‘the meeting place of Galway’ and many settle to watch live sports or meet friends for a coffee and snack.
The bar grill offers light snacks like homemade soup and salad, plus all day breakfasts, sandwiches, steaks and fish dishes. Yummy sweet bites such as muffins and scones are also available.
The carvery is available 7 days a week serving succulent hot meals.
Morning menu is served from 10:00 till 12:00
Bar food menu available from 12.00 till 20.00
Carvery Lunch is available from 12.00 till 16.00
LOCATION
The Imperial Hotel sits in the middle of Galway Shopping Centre. Galway can be reached easily via the N4/M4 Dublin, N18 Limerick, M17 to Mayo/Sligo/Donegal and Cork & the south from the N7.
Galway Train station has routes across the country to Dublin, Limerick, Sligo, Cork and Kerry.
Galway Airport is only 15 minutes drive from Eyre Square; Whilst Shannon International Airport is an hour away.

From the airport, turn left onto the R339
At the roundabout, take the third exit onto the N6.
Bear left and enter Galway.
Take the first exit at the roundabout, onto the R865
Turn right onto the R339
Take the second exit at the next roundabout onto College road – R339
Continue onto Eyre Square
From Shannon Airport
At first roundabout, take the first exit onto the N19
At the next roundabout, take the second exit onto Airport road on the N19
Next roundabout, take the second exit – N19 Limerick, Galway
Then take the second exit again at the next roundabout
Take the first exit at the roundabout and merge onto the N18 – Ennis / Galway
Continue through Crusheen, Gort, Ardrahan, Kilcolgan and Clarinbridge
Bear left on the N18 and enter Creganna and Oranmore
Take the second exit at the roundabout onto the N6
Take the second exit at the next roundabout – N6
Take the first exit at the roundabout onto the R338
Continue forward into Galway
At the roundabout, take the second exit
Take the first exit at the roundabout onto College road – R339
Continue on to Eyre Square – R336
Continuing on R586, passing through Drimoleague at Junction N71, turn right and follow road to Bantry
